This Spectacular Defender 130 was originally outfitted and sold to the French Forest Service based out of Ajaccio, Corsica an area that is very dry and arid. Forestry service vehicles are generally well maintained and have very few kilometers. This particular 130 has only 131km (81K miles) and has been meticulously maintained. It was purchased directly from the forestry service service and updated to the highly desirably Keswick Green. In preparation for the sale, the engine has been gone through and all fluids have been changed. A new exhaust and fuel tank were added and lights converted to LED. The Defender 130 Land Rovers have a longer wheelbase than the defender 110's. The Defender 130 is 127 inches long and was built with a stronger chassis to accommodate its use as a High Capacity Pick up (HCPU). You often see Defender 110's converted to pick ups but they are not the same vehicle. This particular Defender 130 was built in the Bristol factory, which built most of the utility vehicles. This models VIN is highly sought after by Land Rover collectors and is considered one the "holy grail" finds as it is outfitted with the super robust 300TDi motor R65 5-speed transmission and built in Bristol.
