Description

We are excited to present a very cool 1965 notchback Mustang. This Mustang is an absolute blast to drive thanks to some welcomed aftermarket goodies. Everything that makes the original mustang an old car has been replaced and professionally upgraded creating a true sports car driving experience, plenty of power, and a sweet exhaust note wrapped in a classic body style. On that note this pony was originally assembled in San Jose California and was born as a 6 cylinder finished in a red exterior. About 20 years ago this car was stripped and completely refurbished and it has aged very well thanks to quality work. The car is presented with receipts of the parts totaling over 11,000 dollars before paint, wheels and mechanical / body labor. Modifications include; a rebuilt and balanced 302 V8 from an early 70s Grand Torino. That engine has an aluminum manifold, 600 Holley, Ford Motorsport Aluminum water pump, custom multi V pulley set, polished rod beams, ported Hipo heads with Comp Cams roller rockers, Gt 40 Valve springs, large vales, and Tri-y Headers. This thing screams and doesn't miss a beat. That power is put to the ground via a Tremic 5 speed transmission with a Ford motorsport clutch, stainless steel engine fasteners, 2.25 stainless exhaust system including stainless mufflers, new radiator, Shelby 1" front sway bar, a front negative roll camber compensator, high performance Koni adjustable shocks at all four corners, GT front springs, a 9" rear axle and 3.50 posi trac rear gears. Did I mention this thing screams? This may sound like a race car and it could be but we have to stress that this is a very streetable car. Things get even better because this pony can stop thanks to four wheel disc brakes, SVO aluminum master cylinder, adjustable brake balancer and all new brake lines. A beefier emergence brake has been fitted along with new cables. The car is is sitting on vintage style American Racing wheels that give this Mustang a nice stance. The interior has received some welcomed attention with the following; a new gauge cluster, comfortable yet supportive sport seats, a hurst shifter, new carpets, factory style FM stereo w/ cassette, power actuated antenna, dash pad and a really nice headliner. All of this work was professionally done and the interior is a nice place to be. The exterior is very sharp thanks to a few modifications. It has been finished in a modern metallic silver that is a factory Ford color. There are a few minor scratches and nicks but paint is really nice considering its 20 years old. The trim on the body has been tastefully removed revealing the original design as Lee Iacocca originally intended. A Shelby style lower valence has been added along with a clean billet front grill. The chrome bumpers are in nice clear condition too. The glass is clean and without flaw. This is a turn key classic that is begging to be driven.
