Two owner 220 SE Cabriolet finished in Light Ivory. 2.2 Six cylinder with a 4 speed manual transmission The second owner purchased in 1963. The first owner had a thief slash the top to get to his doctors bag. He turned it back in to the dealer and purchased a hard top. A new top was put on and sold when the second owner saw it on the lot and fell in love. This well taken care of 220 SEb is now on the market for the first time since 1963! Original leather interior is in fantastic condition. Much love and care has been put into this Cabriolet through the years. One repaint sixteen years ago. A new high quality top was installed at the same time. We are having a new boot made for the convertible top so at the moment that is not shown in the photos. In 2012 over $5500 was put into it. It picked up a new clutch cylinder and slave cylinder, Valve cover gasket, Replaced differential seal, All bushings and transmission linkage was replaced. They were experiencing fuel related issues so a new Mercedes tank was ordered and installed along with all fuel lines and fuel filter. When it came to our shop we performed a leak down and all six cylinders were right at 125psi. We did a full tune with new plugs, and wires and adjusted the valves. The transmission was rebuilt prior to our ownership and it does perform flawlessly. $1400 in correct Michelin X tires were just put on as well. Not only does this '62 Mercedes 220 SE Cabriolet look fantastic, it drives that way as well. Contact Shep at 208.721.1973 with your interest.
